WHY I AM SICK OF IT

I am sick of the betrayal perpetrated by our leaders, the very people entrusted to protect the integrity of our country and of our Constitution. This corruption must not go unchallenged. Too many lives have been destroyed, and I cannot stand the thought of one more person being killed or maimed because of the lies of this administration.

It is time for the war to come to an end, it has gone on too long. How can anyone of us see the blood of one more Iraqi child or one more American soldier and sit by and do nothing? How can we hear about one more veteran taking their own life and not be compelled to act. What would we say to the Iraqi children who see their fathers ripped away from them or their little friends killed? What will we say to our own children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews when they ask why we let this continue for one more day? The time has come to act and reject apathy.

I am sick of hearing people lose hope and say there's nothing that can be done, or that nothing will change. We can lay the foundation for a better future, we can start change now. Being sick of it is only the first step. Now we must be proactive and persistent and believe again that we really do have the power to make an impact, and put our conscience into action.
